OFFICERS CONDUCT 2ND SUMMER LEADERSHIP TRAINING

     The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) conducted its 2nd Youth Leadership Training with the theme "Cavitenan YES-O: Calibrating Leadership Potential Towards an Eco-Systainable School Year" last May 7, 11, and 16, 2018 at Cavite National High School Science Laboratory.

            "Unlike last year, ginawa naming three days yung training ngayon kasi mas gusto nating ilabas talaga sa kanila [elected officers] yung potentials nila as a leader." said Mr. Pedro, the YES-O adviser.

          The first day of the training was about the reiteration of the DepEd Order No. 72, s. 2003 or the Establishment of the Youth for Environment in Schools (YES) Organization which contains the organization's constitution and by-laws. It was presented and explained by the Norie R. Bautista, YES-O President; Yeoj Enna S. Enriquez, Int. Vice President; and Sandara Ondoy, Ext. Vice President.

           In the afternoon, two former presidents of the organization were invited to discuss the concepts in crafting an annual action plan. Ms. Alexandra Jane D. Mendoza, YES-O President SY 2016-2017, talked about the tips of a good project and Mr. James Louie F. Andeza, YES-O President SY 2017-2018, discussed the format in creating Annual Action Plan (AAP). 

The YES-O Officers as they brainstorm on crafting their proposed projects for SY 2018-2019 during the 2nd Leadership Training Last May 7, 11, and 16, 2018 at Cavite National high School.

          The two sessions was followed by crafting of the AAP. The officers were grouped into four and tasked to think of projects they want to implement for the coming school year. The grouping was followed by the presentation and critiquing of outputs by the former presidents and the adviser.

          On the second day of the training, the president of the Central Student Government of Cavite State University (CvSU) Cavite City Campus, Mr. Christian Canares, talked about the characteristics of a good leader. He presented some traits that an effective and efficient leader should possess.

           Later in the afternoon, Ms. Alnia R. Bautista, elected president of Red Cross Youth (RCY) discussed the basic first aid to the officers since the organization is not only concerned about the environment but in health, sanitation, and disaster risk reduction management as well.

           The 2nd Youth Leadership Training was concluded through a simple closing program on its third day.
