DRIVE TO A CLEAN OCEAN: YES-O OFFICERS PARTICIPATE IN COASTAL CLEAN-UP DRIVE

         The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 officers joined forces as they help clean the coast of Cavite City last March 18, 2018 at the City's Heroes Arc.

            The said coastal clean-up drive was a monthly undertaking of Cavite city Lions Club. It was attended by various volunteers and YES-O Officers of different schools.

            "Ang gawaing ito ay simpleng pamamaraan natin na mabawasan kahit papaano ang mga basurang pakalat kalat sa ating dalampasigan" said Mr. Jhomar DC. Bartolome, Lions Club Adviser.

        The Lions Club Internatioanal Cavite City chapter has been doing this clean-up drive for almost a year and the CNHS YES-O was one of the youth volunteers who continuously supporting this worthy undertaking for this environment.

           "Masya kasi nagiging bonding narin naming officers itong clean-up drive. And at the same time, nakakatulong din kami sa kalikasan. Nakakatuwa din makita yung improvements kasi nung una kaming naglinis dito last June eh sobrang dami talagang basura pero ngayon after several months makikita mong nababawasan na talaga sya" said James Andeza, YES-O 2017-2018 President, when asked about how he feels about the activity.

          "Ahm, ang plano po namin is tuloy tuloy lang yung suporta [at participation] sa mga ganitong activities. We are also planning na i-educate naman yung mga barangays para syempre meron tayong long term na tinatarget para mabawasan talaga yung pollution" said by the newly elected YES-O President, Norie R. Bautista, when asked about her future plans about the undertaking.
